Setting a New Standard

FFPE Tissue Generation Service

Are you exhausted from sifting through biobank inventories, only to compromise with samples that "sort of" meet your requirements?

With our FFPE tissue generation service, tissues are collected from donors of various disease states, then promptly processed into FFPE tissue blocks and cataloged. The advantage? Blocks are created precisely according to your research specifications, and we accomplish this in the same timeframe a biobank would take to organize a retroactive sample shipment.

Data manifests, pathology reports, and block/slide images are provided before the final shipment, giving you the flexibility to add and subtract samples as necessary.

How it Works

The Process

Get Started

Project Design & Kick-off

Collaborate with BioSample Connect to identify the tissues and donor disease states that would be valuable to your team. This is the stage where we can discuss custom tissue processing.

Recruitment Begins

Tissue Collection & FFPE Tissue Block Generation

Donors are recruited for the project and provide tissue samples which are then immediately fixed and embedded in paraffin.

Data Review

Data manifests, pathology reports, and sample images are shared for your review prior to shipment. All data is shared and downloadable through an exclusive client portal prepared at project initiation.

International & Domestic

FFPE Tissue Block Shipment

Once all data is reviewed and approval is provided, all FFPE tissue blocks are shipped. If tissues were sourced internationally and destined for the US, they will go through our NJ lab for quality control before the final stage of transport.

Industry Leading Turnaround Times

Unless the tissue is collected from a donor diagnosed with a rare disease state, the majority of our FFPE tissue generation projects under 50 donors feature a turnaround time of 3 - 6 weeks.
