Frequently Asked Questions

Can buffers or stabilizing reagents be added to the sample prior to shipping?

Certainly! Any safe reagent or buffer can be incorporated into any biofluid sample before shipping. Just inform your BSC representative during the project planning phase.

Are first void urine samples available?

The first urination of the day can be collected without any extra charge.

How much CSF can be obtained per donor?

Our affiliated clinics generally obtain between 0.5 and 2mL of CSF from each donor.

Are donor matched tissues available?

Certain conditions permit the gathering of donor-matched tissues. For instance, synovial membrane tissue can be obtained together with synovial fluid. Discuss with your BSC representative during study planning to assess feasibility.
